I purchased a wenonah Kevlar ultralight from an outfitter. It's in great shape except the sides have a foggy look to them. There is also marks from the outfitter decals I pulled off. Is there anything I can do to clear it up and have some shine again without sanding it down and refinishing it? The outfitter refinished the bottom right before they sold it to me, so I'm trying to avoid refinishing the whole thing.

IMHO because I'm not an expert, but for the foggy sides, that will require sanding and refinishing. It may just be a light sanding to get the old varnish off, which I believe is causing the foggy issue. Maybe some 160 over the whole thing and a new coat of varnish. Get a good marine quality varnish with good UV protection. There are many opinions on brands, I looked for ultra clear which I paid a premium for. As for the image where the stickers were, Mother Nature will have to do her job there. The sun will need to fade the kevlar.

It's not difficult work and it has a high level of satisfaction when you're done.

Good Luck

I also purchased a Wenonah Kevlar UL from an outfitter, and the finish had a dull, hazy appearance. I used an automotive polish, and it shined right up. The difference was amazing. One of my tripping partners asked me if I had waxed it! Give it a try, and let us know how it goes.

I also had to remove an outfitter sticker. Some Goo-Gone and polish removed the adhesive, but I still have a ghost image, as the sticker protected the kevlar from UV fading. If you put a flying moose sticker in it's place, you'll be good to go!
