It's that time of the year where I start receiving emails to read my fishing articles.
If you would like to read any of my fishing articles, just send an email to - queticomike@yahoo.com - and request which ones you would like to read.
Zulu Magic - fishing soft plastic jerk baits
Grand Slam - lures for the 4 main species
Wake Up - wake bait fishing
Bronze Trophy - fishing for big smallmouth
Fall fishing - late season lures and presentations for Grand Slam
Dog Days - tube fishing for smallmouth
Topwater Summer - topwater lures for smallmouth
Summer Slam - fishing Grand Slam during heat of Summer
The Boundary Waters Journal Spring 2023 issue has an article called Grand Slam Triple Play, in which I was interviewed along with two other Boundary Waters anglers. In depth interviews that are worth the read if you enjoy fishing the Boundary Waters.

missmolly: "Mike, I didn't even know what wake baits were until last fall. I caught 43 bass my first morning with a wake bait. Such fun!"
It’s a much looked over presentation that I am glad I decided to try out. My favorite topwater lure at this moment.

A couple mornings last year, I cast the Whopper Plopper 50 times without a fish. Then I switched to the wake bait and it was on. However, the next morning, they'd want the Whopper Plopper again. I just bought some long, thin Rapala wakebaits and am looking forward to trying them.
I will paddle eternal, Kevlar and carbon.

AceAceAce: "Thank Mike! I've still caught more fish on the Zulu rig learned from your articles than another bait. The Lucky 13 is close 2nd! I love that thing. I've caught northern, bass, and even a walleye on it.
"
That’s awesome to hear! You are most welcome!

Them darn fish can be picky sometimes. I guess that's why we carry an assortment of lures :)

I know. They're tricksey! They've been besting me so far this year. I've caught 9, 3, and 1 on my three outings. However, two of the ponds had ice on their edges, so the bass are still a bit nip.
I will paddle eternal, Kevlar and carbon.
