Does anyone know water conditions on the Malign? We are supposed to be paddling up the river from LLC on Saturday. I know it was recently very high, has there been significant change?

That's a beautiful paddle. I did it many years ago in July in low water conditions. Even then there were some areas you really needed to power through but they were brief.

I think it was Cowdoc who said only Sturgeon seemed to have high water. But that was 2-3 weeks ago.

Will be interested to hear how the sites around Tanner Lake are doing. I believe it was part of the 2021 burn area.

Have a great trip!

I just spoke to the park ranger today. He mentioned that the flow in the Maligne was unseasonably high and that outfitters were generally not sending parties that way yet.

Yeah, that is what I'm hearing. We are going another direction, you can't fight nature, it's all part of the experience.
