I can't believe I am selling this - but I am.
If you are not familiar with the Bonafide EX123 Expedition, you really need to go to You Tube and watch the reviews. Then you will understand why this is called the "SUV of Kayaks".
Most kayaks fall into one of two categories - 'Sit on Top' or 'Sit Inside'. This one falls in the middle somewhere as, even though you do sit inside, the seat is raised to elevate you up to see things a bit better.
So, I bought this EX 123 in May in hopes of using it many times this summer on expected outings....that never happened. I literally put this in the water three times. Once on the Iroquois, once on the Kankakee, and I just returned from a trip to northern Wisconsin where it got wet once.
Someone else should benefit from my investment in this.
I've added numerous accessories to the kayak. Lots of attachment points, gear track, holders of different types, etc. Basket with rod holders.
I also have an anchor pole with it, as well as a Bending Branches Navigator with a carbon fiber shaft and the Versa Lok adjustment. I paid $375 just for the paddle.
One of the reason they call this the "SUV of Kayaks" is the rear storage. There's a bulk head right behind the seat which makes the back 1/3 a storage compartment. Throw your gear in, head down the river or across the lake and go camping. Or food and extra gear for long day-trips.
Just take a look at these photos and get an idea of how versatile this kayak really is.
I'm sorry I didn't get to use it like I wanted, but I have another project that could use some funds.
I have between $1600 and $1700 invested in this.
She has ALWAYS been kept inside since I got it.
$1250.00
