A cheap, ugly, competent Wenonah MNII. Skin coat foam core kevlar covered with ugly chipping gray paint. Numerous patches. Boat is solid, around 45-48#, everything works. Did I mention its ugly. Really ugly. Paddles great, really moves, carries pretty good too. Stored in garage when not tripping. It's been on lots of trips. Located outside of Ely.

I already have an ugly canoe, so can't buy this one, but I love seeing/reading honest advertising!

Looks a lot like my MNII (minus the paint) more patches than your grandmothers quilt, but it still gets the job done. :)

Bought mine in rough shape from an outfitter 10 years ago and added some patches and replaced the gunnels. If you know how to repair composites you can pretty much keep these things going forever. They just tend to gain a little weight. :)

I have a pretty beat up but functional Advantage in kevlar that I should sell but can't bring myself to due to the sheer number of Quetico miles that we've traveled together.

Looks like you're in Minnesota too. If you do decide to sell I might be interested. Was looking for something lightly used but for my first solo that may not be a bad idea. The Advantage is one that I've considered and it certainly seems to have its fans.

I'd let you borrow it for your first solo. It runs nicely. It's a bit lively- hones your sense of balance (or swimming capability).
