Just a basic folding chair. Cordura for the seats and white ash for the frame. Started out with the Idea of using, what else, wingnuts, to hold them together after breaking them down to fit into a bag. But if it takes five minutes to put them together, chances are you wouldn't bother unless you reached your base camp. Plan to use a pad of some sort on top for more comfort. Not too bad weight wise at 2.5 Lbs.

Good job. What I like about making your own chair is that you can make it the size you like instead of suffering with a 'kid sized' chair.

I'm lucky to have a hardwoods dealer 30 min away In southeast Mich. Ash, Cherry, walnut pretty much everything except western red cedar.
