We received our Rapid Hammock just in time for a weekend camping trip at our new property outside Grand Marais. Got this hammock at Canoeacopia, Madison Wi. The other is a Wally World traveler. Anyone else have one of these starters? She actually slept most of the afternoon, first time hanging, so it looks promising for ditching the tents!

If you dont already have one, I would suggest getting a bug coccon for your hammock. Your wife will sleep alot better without the skeeters bugging her all night.

That's a must. We were lucky to have a windy day to keep the no see ums at bay. I'm still debating between the rapid hammock bugnet and ridge line or a Dutchware Fronkey style. Any suggestions?

I use a Bliss hammock, with a Bliss cocoon. Been using it for 5-6 years & very happy with it.

All it has to do is fit the hammock & keep the bugs out.

If it were my money, between those options, I'd use the Fronkeystyle bugnet. In my experience its easier to get into the hammock in the fronkey than with one with a side zipper.

Thanks for the advice. I know I'm throwing money at cheap setups but my plan to buy a WBBxlc won't be happening for awhile till they start selling them again. Well hope my to get out hanging again this weekend.

I just recently heard that Warbonnet is accepting orders again. Looks like that's the case:
