FoW President Vern Fish will be giving two different presentations during the expo: Saturday, 10:30 - 11:30am, he will discuss the Big River Trip in late May, 2022 that was a collaboration between FoW and Ontario Nature to provide songbird breeding data for the Atlas project. Sunday, 1 - 2pm, he will present a broad view of the Wabakimi wilderness - exploring it and protecting it. On Saturday evening, we will meet at the FoW booth at 6pm to decide where to go for an evening get-together. All are welcome! Whether you are planning a trip or took a trip, this will be a terrific opportunity to visit with those who enjoy sharing their collective knowledge about this magnificent wilderness. It is also an opportunity to join the Friends of Wabakimi and our mission is to preserve this integral wilderness, its flora and fauna, and the historic paddle routes within it. Look forward to seeing you there! ~JP |
