I understand. The Grey duck Orion is 16' and weighs in at around 32 lbs. It's designed to do just what you're talking about without losing performance, in fact it handles even better with a load in it, unless the boat needs to be Royalex it's the boat you're looking for IMO. Big river water (class 3)it might fall short in depth/dryness, but in all other situations the boat performs awesome.

Boat I'm looking for needs to be Royalex. It will be subject to abuse on a long river trip in Canada.

Hi all, I know Swift canoes aren't seen very much in these parts, but I'm looking for a Swift Raven if anyone has one they'd be willing to part with. I'm in Duluth. Thanks.

If there's one thing I have learned in the canoe obsession realm is that most any canoe will come around eventually. It's a long search sometimes (I waited a few years for one I was looking for) but can be shortened by stretching your budget, your range (how far you want to drive), or your expectations. Best of luck! There are lots of great people on this forum, so maybe you'll get lucky.

You sound set on the Raven, but there is a Royalex Bell Wildfire, paddled 4 times here in the twin cities for sale, if that works?

Thanks for passing along! I'm looking at the Raven for a long (month plus) solo. I don't think a Bell Wildfire has quite enough capacity.

A Swift Raven is listed on the North American Canoe Trader site on Facebook. Located in the great white north.
