Thanks! I think so too, and I would have taken some grief from my river buds if they showed up to camp one day and the clown tarp wasn't there.

If you ask me you are a LOT better off with this 10 x 16 CCS than you would be with a parawing style tarp. Pitched well it will stand up to a LOT of wind. Enjoy.

Yes, that's it, and I'm glad you mentioned the holes. I was posting from my phone and meant to add disclosure and pic when I got home but forgot. That said, I played around with the clown tarp in the back yard over the weekend and determined that while a wing shelter would probably be a bit quicker I can still get a good pitch with plenty of height using oars which was the main thing I wanted from a wing. I was very pleasantly surprised by how well it worked out, and ideally now that I've practiced a little and will generally have help (didn't this weekend) it won't take as long as the experimental tarpology session. So, the fever has cooled and I will just keep ol' clowney holes and all. :) I'll have a good assessment of how it handles western high desert winds in a couple of months.

As for the cooler, that beast has a new home. I sold it to a buddy who needed a lower profile one for his raft because it has a high floor. Most of the newer ones are taller. I'm about to pull the trigger on a Canyon cooler that doesn't require a forklift to move.

The clown show is the ONLY way to go. The purpose of the multi colored panels is to provide natural light under the tarp. A red tarp leaves you in the red light district, green / green, ect, ect. Clown, clown. That being said 200 for a tarp with holes, even repaired is a bit steep IMO.

I assume this is your tarp for sale on Ebay? Unless someone else in Arkansas is selling a 10x16 1.1oz. CCS tarp in the clown color scheme.

CCS 1.1 clown color on Ebay

If I bought this on Ebay, I would be pretty upset that you did not disclose the holes and repair. By the way, badass cooler.

Is the Watershed a duffel or backpack? Which model?

The tarp is clown color (red, white, yellow and blue). I'll try and remember to get a pic or two of the spots of shame. The Watershed bag is a mil spec product and the model is rucksack liner. It's basically a large duffel. Here's a link.

Apologies. The add a link functionality doesn't appear to be working for some reason but you can just copy and paste. Thanks!

Thanks for the pic. I'm not sure how I feel about the clown color (I've been leaning toward yellow) so I will hold off on pulling the trigger for now. Maybe if there's a price drop in the future....

As requested, here's a pic of "the spot". Just seam seal over a few pin holes.

Very welcome. I wasn't sure about the clown color either but if I had it to do again I'd go clown. To each his own, right? That's what makes this old life worth livin'. FWIW there won't be a price drop. $200 shipped is the goodest I can do. Thanks for looking!

I might be interested in the tarp, but I would want to see the damage......

10 x 16 1.1 Tundra Tarp. Purchased new in 2014 and used rarely. First time I used it the loops on one side slid over the stakes causing part of it to get up close and personal with a Bois D'arc tree. As per Dan's instructions I stretched it out and applied seam seal to the resulting tiny holes and they don't leak a drop. I love the tarp but find myself doing more and more river running and have decided a parawing shelter makes more sense for my tripping style. I'll take $200 to your door or will trade for an MSR Zing or comparable.

Also have a large Watershed dry bag that is completely dry (unlike the typical roll top bags). It zips open/shut with a burly dry suit zipper around the top then purges the trapped air with a threaded valve. Extremely durable. Used twice I believe. $200 to your door for it.

Thanks for looking!

What color is the tarp? Do you have any pics of the fix?
