Spring inbound birds have yet to show up. What I have noticed is winter birds that have left. Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers are gone as well as Hermit Thrushes. I haven't seen a White-throated Sparrow in a few days. They may be gone, too. Northern Harrier seems to have moved on. I wish someone would call home the flock of Pine Siskins that have aggressively dominated our feeders since early January. I am pleased to have them as they don't show up here very often, but I would love for them to go soon. Although they did chase off the squirrels this year! |
