It's very hard when October comes and season ends. May seems so far away.
All left to do for me is watch youtuber's adventures, Lost Lakes, Xander Budnick, Canoe the north.....Amazing channels.
They do fill the void but they also feed the need for more.
Wondering how the rest of you all deal with winter.

For me the outdoor season never ends, it just changes. There’s always more to do and see out there!

Ah I see, I misunderstood your post, sorry about that.

For me there really is no replacing canoe season, but I do the same and try to fill some of that void vicariously and follow the same youtubers you mentioned. I find I can also maintain some connection to canoe season during the winter by cleaning, organizing, and maintaining my gear. I don’t do the best job throughout the year so I’m often playing catch-up, but it feels like I’m still engaged in the season to a degree.

I'll bird hunt through the end of December, then in January I'll turn to tying flies in preparation for the April stream-trout season.

Maybe something involving canoeing, backcountry camping, in a different ecosystem. Glen Canyon NRA, Rio Grande river, Everglades/10000islands, Congaree NP, or various rivers in southern US, Mexico, Costa Rica, you name it. And, there has to be some Southern Hemisphere stuff I haven’t researched. There is little boreal forest in the SouthernHemisphere.

I enjoy portagemule and upperlip outdoors videos. Upperlip hasn’t posted for a couple of years but I always end up watching their videos numerous times every winter
