For Sale: Mountainsmith lumbar pack. High quality construction, with great versatility. Has seen very little use. Two mesh water bottle pockets on each side with shock cords & cord locks to hold bottles snuggly in place. Waist strap/ hip belt easily folds into pockets when not in use. Two sturdy handles for easy of carrying. A detachable shoulder strap. Smaller zippered interior pocket to hold essentials for quick access. Strong, dependable, bomb proof zippers throughout. Front exterior pocket for quick access to essentials. Elastic cord with cord lock to securely fasten items on outside of pack. Foam padded back for comfort. Capacity about 13L. Retails for $100. I’ve had one for many years. With the addition of the accessory ”Strapettes” for your shoulders, it will carry a good amount of weight in comfort.

Thanks gravelroad. It really is a versatile pack. Can be used in wilderness pursuits, casual travel, as a thwart bag, to hold fishing gear, and many more scenarios. I find it comfortable to carry a load without having the sweatiness that comes for with a backpack. The unit for sale only has one shoulder strap to sling over a shoulder but I can see our your suggested straps would useful. Thanks again for your post.
